Dempsey Steed, PC, is a Martindale-Hubbell AV rated law firm serving clients throughout the State of Alabama and the Southeast. The firm’s attorneys concentrate in the areas of corporate law, general business, employment, taxation, acquisitions and mergers, real estate loan transactions, estate planning & administration, asset protection, probate, administrative law, health care law, civil litigation and criminal defense law.

The firm began with the formation of Bachus & Crowson in 1974 and later expanded to Bachus, Crowson, Harris, Strickland & Dempsey. The firm has a rich tradition in public service and has produced a United States Congressman, a Circuit Court Judge, a State Representative, a State Senator, and a Commissioner of the Alabama Water Resource Commission. Two of its partners currently serve as Deputy Attorneys General for the State of Alabama. The firm has served as general counsel for the State of Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board since 1987.

The lawyers in the firm have practiced before State and Federal trial and appellate courts, as well as before administrative agencies and boards.
