F. Wade Steed’s primary areas of practice are corporate, employment, general business, contractual, civil litigation, administrative, probate and trusts, estate planning and real estate law. He has been with the firm since 1990 and serves as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Alabama working closely with the State of Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board’s Enforcement Division where he assists in presiding over its administrative hearings and serves as legal counsel of record, regarding litigation in both State and Federal Courts and appellate matters at both the State and Federal levels. Furthermore, he has had the opportunity and pleasure to represent numerous individuals, professionals, partnerships, proprietorships and entities engaged in various areas of business. The areas of law which he has practiced include, without limitation, corporate, general and advanced business matters, stock and asset purchase and sale transactions, commercial real estate development and acquisition matters, franchising, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, employment, health care, related matters, partnership and limited liability company matters and commercial lending transactions. He is authorized to practice law in all Courts of the State of Alabama, all United States District Courts of the State of Alabama, the United States Eleventh Circuit Appeals Court, and is duly admitted, qualified and authorized to practice law as an Attorney and Counselor of the Supreme Court of the United States.

He is a 1981 graduate of the University of Alabama majoring in marketing from the College of Commerce and Business Administration. Subsequently, he attended and completed his post-graduate work at Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1984.

He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar where locally he has served on various committees including, without limitation, the Committee for Judicial Reform.

His civic involvement has included serving on the Board of Directors of several non-profit organizations and serving as past President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the 1st and Ten Club of Alabama, Inc. He has also been an active participant in his local church and youth sports programs, where he has coached baseball, football and basketball.
