J. Kevin Webb, JD, LLM (Tax), CPA
Kevin is a tax attorney with the law firm of Dempsey, Steed, Stewart, Ritchey & Gache’, LLP with a practice emphasis in the areas of tax controversy, estate planning, elder law and Medicaid planning. He began his career as an accountant working for a local accounting firm in Opelika, Alabama, and later worked with Ernst & Young, LLP, where he became a Certified Public Accountant in 1997.
Kevin received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Auburn University in 1993. Following four years in public accounting, he returned to school and earned his law degree from the University of Alabama in 2001, finishing in the top 10% of his class. Following law school he continued his legal education at the University of Florida where he earned his LL.M. in taxation in 2002.
Kevin is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Alabama Bar Association, American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, Wealthcounsel, Advisors Forum and ElderCounsel.
Kevin is married and has four children In his spare time, he enjoys coaching youth sports and officiating high school football. He and his family are active members of Shades Mountain Baptist Church.
